Welcome,

Holy Angels School has a beautiful history in Sidney, OH.
In 1861 part of our church building was designated to be the school for twenty students. By 1875 a three story brick school building housed 112 students and sisters of Charity began teaching. Many renovations later, Holy Angels School provides a stellar learning environment where students are nurtured in the Faith and valued as God’s children.

Teachers use multiple ways of assessing students as they learn. This can be in the form of textbook assessments, homework assignments, quizzes or projects completed over a longer time period.

Students are assessed in Reading, Language, Math, Social Studies, and Science using the Iowa Tests. These are administered each fall to students in grades 2, 4, 6 & 8. The Iowa provides comparisons of student performance by using nationally representative norms.

Smartboards are used, and our teachers are trained throughout the year to build on the many methods to best utilize this technology. This engages our students in an interactive way with the computer, internet, and textbook lessons.

We have fresh cooked meals in our cafeteria, competitive sports in our gym, and exemplary performances from our chorus, band, and theater. We participate in Patriot’s Pen writing competition, Geography Bee, and many other learning opportunities are available to the students.

Holy Angels School parish supports the school financially. Parish families contribute regularly to the church, and parish families are given priority up to March 1 date. In the event that a class is full, an applicant will be admitted according to our handbook policies.

If at any time during the year, you would like to tour our school and meet our teachers please contact us at (937) 492-9293. Holy Angels School will make you smile.

Sincerely,

Mary T. Martin
