PTO Anouncements

February 2008 PTO NEWS

Our next PTO meeting is on Thursday, February 21, 2008 at 7:00 p.m.

Holy Angels Grade School Sesquicentennial celebration started January 27 th and will continue through May 1. Several events are scheduled throughout. The School Expo will be on April 13th.

As you know, the PTO agreed to sponsor a pizza party for each class that had at least 50% representation from the student’s parents at the “Bully-Proofing Youth Techniques” presentation on November 27 th. EVERY class met this threshold, and each held their pizza parties on February 5 th. The PTO (and I’m sure the classrooms) appreciate the parents who took the time to attend this presentation. Thank you.

The Book Fair was held during Catholic Schools Week and helped raise over $700 with an additional $600 worth of books going to the school. A big thanks goes out to Susan Anderson and Jill Heitmeyer for their help in making this another successful event.

The Father/Daughter Dance was held on Friday, February 15th and was another success. We would like to thank Jill Heitmeyer (chairperson), Kathy Cavinder, and Susan Anderson once again this year for their help with this important fundraiser.

This Saturday, February 23rd, is the Mother/Son Bowling, and over 70 boys are already signed up to attend.

The last skating party of the calendar year is scheduled for March 12 th.

****Mark Your Calendars****

The next PTO meeting is scheduled for Thursday, February 21, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. at Holy Angels School. As always, attendance at the meeting will acquire “Jean Day” passes for your children.

The minutes from our last meeting, January 17, 2007 are attached and are being sent home in this packet.

We hope to see you on the 21st.
