Dear Parents:

The following is an update regarding activities and upcoming events.

Activities:

• Parent/Teacher Conferences were held on Thursday, February 14, 2008.
• A Faculty In-service was held on Friday, February 15, 2008. A number of items were covered that day including the External Team Review, how we can make better use of our Standardized Testing Results, and Activities for April 13, 2008 Open House.
• Father/Daughter Dance sponsored by the PTO was held at school on February 15.
• The students have attended Stations of the Cross each Tuesday of Lent that we have been in school.
• The staff held its Chicken Dinner event on February 19. It was a success. Approximately 750 dinners were sold. Thank you for your support!
• The PTO held its monthly meeting on February 21 at 7:00 PM in the cafeteria.
• Confirmation Retreat was held on Sunday, February 24 from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM –– in School.
• Third Grade Writing Samples were completed the week of February 25 th.
• Students in grades 2 – 7 had the opportunity to go to Reconciliation on Friday, February 29, 2008. Eighth graders had the opportunity at the Confirmation Retreat.
• Monday, March 3, 2008: 7:00 PM – Confirmation Practice

Dear Parents:

Since our Open House during Catholic Schools Week, I have been sending home information regarding our school. The first information I sent was a report of our students’ performance on standardized testing, the second set of information related to the Enrollment Management Committees including the goals of those subcommittees. This week I have included information regarding our Textbook/Technology Fund Raiser (see back of this letter). I hope you find this information helpful.

Announcement: Holy Angels Youth Choir sings at 9:00 AM Mass the 2 nd and 4 th Sunday of each month. The Choir is open to all parish youth in grades 5, 6, 7, and 8. They practice each week on Wednesdays from 3:20 PM until about 4:00 PM. All 5 th, 6 th,7 th and 8 th grade students are invited to participate.
